For Paws is managed and operated by Hampshire County Council
1. Bookings
1.1 All sessions must be booked online using the For Paws booking system.
1.2 By booking a session, you agree to adhere to these Terms and Conditions.
1.3 Each session is limited to 50 minutes to allow a 10-minute buffer period ensuring successive users do not come into contact with each other and each other’s dogs.
1.4 Bookings are non-refundable, unless we cancel your booking.
1.5 We may cancel your booking at any time. If we cancel your booking, you may request an alternative session without further payment or a full refund.
2.On Site
2.1 You must park your vehicle in the dedicated space for the field you have booked and leave the space promptly after the end of your session.
2.2 Enter the parking bay and close the gate before letting your dog(s) out of your vehicle to ensure the safety of the dog(s), nearby road users and other members of the public.
2.3 Using the key code provided enter the pedestrian gate into the field, making sure it is closed behind you. Please contact us at ForPaws@hants.gov.uk if you have not received a key code before you arrive.
2.4 You are advised not to arrive more than a few minutes before the start of your session and remain in your vehicle until your session is due to start.
2.5 Before entering the field, you must make sure that no one else is there. If another user is still in the field when your session is due to start, please inform us immediately at ForPaws@hants.gov.uk
2.6 A maximum of four dogs can be in the fields at the same time.
2.7 All dogs must be supervised at all times while you are on site.
2.8 Children are welcome on site but must be supervised at all times and refrain from shouting or any other disturbance to neighbours, other users or the environment.
2.9 Please discourage your dog(s) from excessive noise while on site. If your dog persistently barks, we may suspend your access to our fields.
2.10 Please discourage your dog(s) from digging and report any holes to us by emailing ForPaws@hants.gov.uk to allow us to fill these promptly.
2.11 It is your responsibility to bring your own poo bags and pick up your dog’s waste; we provide bins to make it an easy task. You must use the dedicated dog waste bins provided to dispose of dog waste. You must not use these bins to dispose of latex gloves, chewing gum, cigarettes, food or anything else other than dog waste and dog waste bags.
2.12 You must collect any toys, uneaten treats and other litter in the field or shelters. Dogs may swallow them and become ill so please take everything home with you at the end of the session, so that everyone can enjoy the clean fields.
2.13 We may conduct spot checks. Repeated failure to clean up after your dog or yourself may result in you being suspended from using our fields.
2.14 No smoking, vaping or alcohol use is permitted in the fields.
2.15 Your booking is for the purposes of exercising your dog(s) only. No other activities, including barbecues or operation of flying objects (such as drones), are permitted.
2.16 Abusive behaviour towards our staff and other users will not be tolerated and will result in a ban from using our services.
2.17 Your session must end at the time indicated at the time of booking and may not overrun into the buffer period or beyond, even if you arrived late. If you persistently fail to leave the field on time, we may suspend your access to our fields.
3. Safety and Liability
3.1 By booking a session, you accept that our fields are natural outdoor spaces that may contain uneven ground hidden under vegetation, overhanging branches that may fall and other countryside hazards that may be concealed. You agree to use the field at your own risk.
3.2 You are responsible for supervising any adults, children, animals and belongings you bring to the fields or parking areas.
3.3 We are not responsible for any death or personal injury which is not caused by our negligence or for any loss, theft or damage to personal property, animals or vehicles.
3.4 You are responsible for your dog’s behaviour and any damage caused by your dog during your use of the field and the parking areas. Your dog(s) must be covered by a valid third-party liability insurance before using the fields.
3.5 If you bring friends or family with you or send somebody in your place to the field, you agree to take full responsibility for their safety and for ensuring that they abide by these Terms and Conditions.
3.6 You must not allow anyone other than the individuals you have invited or sent in your place to enter the field during your session.
3.7 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or for any other liability we cannot legally exclude.
4. Fencing
4.1 We inspect and maintain the fences around out fields regularly. However, holes and other damage to the fence may occur for various reasons including digging by dogs and other animals, falling trees or branches, and wear and tear. Please let us know immediately if you notice any issues with the fencing by emailing ForPaws@hants.gov.uk.
4.2 While our goal is to provide a safe, enclosed space, we cannot guarantee that dogs will not escape from the field. We are not responsible for any injury, loss or damage to you or any third party resulting from your dog escaping, unless caused by our negligence.
4.3 The fence boundaries are 1.8 metres high. You must consider your dog(s) ability to escape over a fence of this height before booking a session.
5. Restricted Breeds
5.1 Any dogs belonging to a breed which is regulated under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 or any supplementary or successor legislation are only permitted to be in our fields under the following conditions:
5.1.1 you have a certificate of exemption and public liability insurance in place covering the dog and are ready to present these upon request;
5.1.2 the dog is kept on a lead and muzzled when moving to and from your vehicle and the lead and muzzle are removed only after you and the dog have entered the field and the gate has been closed;
5.1.3 you adhere to all current government advice (Controlling your dog in public: Overview - GOV.UK) at all times; and
5.1.4 the ratio between the dog and its handler is 1:1 or handlers outnumber the dog.
6. Dog health and wellbeing
6.1 All dogs using the facilities must be up to date with vaccinations and worm treatments.
6.2 Puppies under 8 weeks old are not permitted to be in the fields.
6.3 Your dog(s) must be microchipped in accordance with The Microchipping of Dogs (England) Regulations 2015 (or any successor legislation).
6.4 To protect your dog(s) and other animals, you must not attend the session if your dog has been unwell (kennel cough, diarrhoea or other sickness) in the 72 hours preceding the session.
6.5 If your dog becomes unwell while in the field, you must clean up any mess. If you have any difficulty, please contact us at ForPaws@hants.gov.uk for assistance.
You must act in accordance with the law at all times while using our fields, in particular all legislation aiming to protect animals from cruelty.
7. Data Protection
7.1 The personal data you provide will be treated in accordance with Data Protection Legislation. Your data will only be used to process your booking or contact you about your booking. Your data will need to be shared with Cinolla as the booking system supplier, it will not be shared with any other third parties. Your data will be retained for a maximum period of seven years from the date of your booking. The legal basis for our use of this information is that it is necessary for the performance of a contract with the data subject.
7.2 You have some legal rights in respect of the personal information we collect from you. Please see our website Data Protection page for further details (www.hants.gov.uk/dataprotection). You can contact the County Council’s Data Protection Officer at data.protection@hants.gov.uk. If you have a concern about the way we are collecting or using your personal data, you should raise your concern with us in the first instance or directly to the Information Commissioner’s Office at https://ico.org.uk/concerns/.
8. Other Terms
8.1 Hampshire County Council reserves the right to update and/or amend these terms and conditions at any time without notice. These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and the are subject to the jurisdiction of the English courts. A person who is not a party to these terms shall not have any rights under or in connection with them by virtue of the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
8.2 Any references to legislation or regulations in these shall include any successive legislation or regulations that may come into force after the date of these terms.
8.3 These terms operate separately. If any court or relevant authority decides any of them are unlawful, the remaining terms will continue in full.
8.4 These terms shall not create any partnership or joint venture between Hampshire County Council and you, nor any relationship of principal and agent, nor authorise any party to make or enter into any commitments for or on behalf of the other party.

Any users found in breach of these terms and conditions may be asked to leave the site immediately, and prevented from any future bookings.
