BBQ Hire Information

Thank you for booking a BBQ pitch at the park

Useful information

Times: Daytime bookings are 10am – 4pm. Evening bookings are 5pm – 10pm. Please ensure your pitch is vacated at the end of your hire period to allow the rangers to prepare for the next booking.

What is provided: Each pitch has: a BBQ hearth, at least one large picnic bench and space for fun and games. Please remember to bring your own food, utensils, charcoal and garden furniture. You are welcome to bring small, self-assembly gazebos for shelter. 

When you arrive:  Your pitch will be unlocked, clean and ready for use.  The map below shows the location of each pitch and details of all surrounding facilities which you may find useful.

Before you leave: Please tidy all your rubbish and place it in the skip provided (please see map below).  There’s no need to remove the hot coals – please just flip the lid to cover the coals before you leave.

Parking

Normal parking charges apply.  The map above shows the location of your closest pay machine. Please pay at the end of your stay - just before your leave the park*.

For our smaller BBQs (Laurel, Primrose, Willow and Rowan) there is a car park right next to your pitch. Please see map. There is no vehicular access on to your pitch.

For our larger BBQs (Bluebells and Cypress) there is space to park on your pitch if you choose. Otherwise, you can park in the car park which is only a short walk from your pitch.

Please note:  our BBQ pitches are for simple, informal gatherings only. If you want to hold an event or include any extra activities and/or third-party business (e.g inflatables or catering) you must book our BBQ/event field. For more details please contact us on 023 8045 5157.

*Think you may need to leave the park at some point during the day to collect more supplies or pick up friends and family?  Instead of paying each time you leave - you can select and purchase ‘Full day’ parking at the pay machine.  Just select this option at any time after the first 30 minutes of your stay (and before you leave the park for the first time) and you’ll be able to come and go – as you please – for the rest of the day.
